Combined daily routine - MVP¶
Combined timeline view¶
- Display a unified daily timeline showing activities for all animals on the account
- Each entry is associated with a specific animal (or all animals)
- The timeline should make it clear which animal each entry relates to
- Activities from different animals' routines appear together, ordered by time
Adding and editing entries¶
- Users can add timeline entries for a single animal from within the combined view
- Entries added to the combined routine are reflected in the individual animal's routine and vice versa
- Editing an entry in either view updates both
Real-world example¶
From Shirley's profile, a combined day with two dogs might look like:

This view is what makes PetFolio more useful than a document - it shows the day as the carer will actually live it.
Explicitly out of scope¶
- Sharing the combined daily routine view with recipients (individual animal profiles only - see Profile sharing)
- Drag-and-drop reordering of timeline entries
- Conflict detection (overlapping activities for the same animal)
- Recurring schedules or templates (e.g., weekday vs weekend routines)
- Professional account combined views (the combined routine is designed for multi-pet households; how it applies to organisations such as boarding facilities is a future consideration)
